50 Cent: Blood On The Sand is due to released by Swordfish studios on PS3 on the 6th of February 2009, this is the second-game based on 50 Cent, the first being 50 Cent: Bulletproof which was a third-person shoot’ em up.
50 Cent: Blood On The Sand is a story of money, killing and revenge, with a lot of the killing part involved. The game begins with a cut scene of 50 cent and his crew, G-Unit performing in a concert somewhere in the middle east, after the concert, 50 Cent immediately seeks the payment for the show, it turns out the promoter cannot afford to pay 50 Cent for performing.
50 Cent is offered a diamond-encrusted skull, but as the payment is about to be made, 50 Cent and his crew are assaulted, as random woman steals the priceless skull while 50 Cent and G Unit are receiving showers of bullets aimed at them.
The storyline foundation is basically 50 Cent and his crew battling though the middle-east, with almost everyone wanting him and the rest of G Unit dead, he is determined to find the priceless skull which was stolen from him. You’ll find that most of the game is 50 Cent and his crew blasting their way though urban buildings, though side alleys and down roads with burning cars, a true war zone.
There are a total of 21 weapons, you can only carry four of them at a time, selections range from dual uzis to rocket launchers, all of the weapons in the game are real world weapons, which you may find real life gangs shooting each other with, this gives a realistic feel to the game.
Most of the game play is violence related, you will find levels were you are required to drive around in a car, or have to chase your enemies who will flee on foot, jumping over fences etc.
Most of the games 50 Cent feel comes from the audio, 50 Cents music is played though the whole game experience. There is even a taunt feature, which allows you to shout out verbal abuse before you kill somebody.
Throughout the game, you can play in a drop-in, drop out co-op, one player will control 50 Cent and the other can choose from other G-Unit members, such as Llyod Banks, Tony Yayo etc, when the game is released on the 6th of February, you’ll have to pick who will drive the car and who will man the turret during the vehicle related levels.
