Left 4 Dead PC Review
Review Score:

Left 4 Dead was released by Electronic Arts on the 21st of November 2008, Left 4 Dead is a zombie shoot em up game on PC, it’s one of the best zombie shooting games that I have ever played, it’s got easy to use controls, which under the default setting, are placed very nicely.

Left 4 Dead is one of the few games, which allows you to either be human or zombie, which allows you to either kill zombies, or kill humans, both modes are extremely fun to play in, although I personally prefer being a zombie, who are also known as the infected.

There are four different campaigns within the game, each spanning five levels, a total of 20 levels to complete, this may not seem a lot and to be quite honest, it isn’t, but the reason most gamers by the game is for the brilliant online multiplayer mode, which allows you to play campaign and death matches with other players across the world via the internet.

The first four levels of each campaign, you end up in a safe house, a area where you cannot be attacked by zombies, this is a place to rest and heal before moving onto the next level, on the final level, level five, you have to wait for a rescue vehicle to arrive, you’ll travel though different types of terrain, urban, suburban and rural areas, each area is different to play.

As I previously said, the campaign mode is quite sure and you are easily able to complete each campaign on normal difficultly within a hour or so, so you will be able to learn the different maps which is useful when playing multiplayer with other-players.

As I’ve also previously said, the game is a million times better when you are playing multiplayer online, this allows you to play with other-players, which depending on how you like to play games, you may enjoy or dislike, I prefer to play with other-people because it’s a lot more social and it’s more fun.

You carry one primary weapon, such as a shotgun, you also have a secondary weapon, which can be one or two pistols, which have unlimited ammo, which is another great feature about this game, if you run out of ammo with your primary weapon, your able to still put up a fight until you can find some more ammo!

Along with guns, you are also able to find and use bombs, these are near vital to you staying alive within the game, when you are rushed by a number of zombies, instead of having to run backwards while-shooting them, you can merely set a bomb off and kill most of them at once, then pick the rest off one by one.

Obviously your goal isn’t always stay alive, when you are playing a online death match, bombs can still be useful, although they are not anywhere as effective because you aren’t going to find a team sticking close together, they’ll be spread out, unlike the zombies.

If you are a person who enjoys to play multiplayer, in co-op or verses mode, this is a great game to play, although I wouldn’t suggest you buy the game if you don’t intend on playing multiplayer.
