As we all know, the Nintendo Wii and DS were two of the most wanted “toys” of the holiday season. But who would have though the Wii could or even would have increased its sales by fifty percent between November and December. Others would consider Sony a winner because of the total sales of its “family” of consoles. Even the Xbox did surprisingly well the holiday month, but it looks the PS3 just barely beat out the PS2, which is very disheartening. Along with this month comes the overall 2008 sales of software, which has some very interesting result. Check out the success of the Call of Duty series because the “inferior product,” (totally not true Treyarch) sold more than the beloved Gears of War 2. Oh well, the software and hardware business had a great month and we all contributed to it. See below for all the numbers you all love.
