Bioware, the newly owned subsidiary of Electronic Arts, is developing the second game in the Mass Effect series. There have been little to no details about the must anticipated sequel to one of 2007′s best RPGs. It seems that project manager Corey Andruko and lead technical designer Dusty Everman of Mass Effect 2 will be presenting an hour long powerpoint about “The Iterative Level Design Process of Bioware’s MASS EFFECT 2,” which will detail the team’s “new level-creation process.” The event, the Game Developers Conference, is held every years and always surprises the gaming community with some awesome announcements. One thing that is a guarantee this time around is that the game will be released on all platforms because it is now owned by EA.

I, along with millions of other gamers, would like to see some details come out sooner than March 21-23, when GDC is held in San Francisco, but we can only hope that Bioware can take time off creating the Star Wars: The Old Republic. This was definitely one of my top games of 2007 and would love to see this game released in 2009, but Amped Gamers, we can only hope. By the way, those not familiar with GDC, the conference is more for industry people and is the anti-thesis of a tradeshow, but it is getting less nerdy every year.
