Finally, Sega has announced the release date for one of our most anticipated Wii games of 2009. We can’t wait to paint the white and black levels with the blood of the enemies. I think that this title, which is one of the most hardcore releases coming this year, will prove or disprove the notion of a “core” audience on the Wii. Nintendo, especially Reggie Fils-Aime, has been preaching to the enthusiast press that the Wii and DS have a massive “core” audience. This is another huge issue to which we will not go into at this time.
With many great title coming out early in 2009, Sega is looking to capitalize on the install base of the Wii with this niche title. I can’t wait to play this game because my Nintendo Wii has been getting cold throughout this bitter cold winter up here in Vermont.
