According to Joystiq, Ubisoft will be releasing a downloadable content pack for its recently released hit Prince of Persia. This new “epilogue” pack will continue the epic story and further develop the characters. Along with more story elements, the DLC pack will also give Elika the ability to change environments or at least help “which allows her to temporarily restore a piece of destroyed environment.” Although the finite story of the original quest will not be touched, a new enemy, The Shapeshifter, will be the main focus.
I believe the most interesting part of this DLC pack is the decision to create content that is more difficult than the original. This, of course, is to fix the biggest critical flaw of the massive hit, the ease of the overall game. Some said it was more of a really long quick time event than an actual adventure game, but we can only wait to find out for ourselves. Unfortunately, this new Prince of Persia game was only a rental for me, so I was unable to finish the game. It was also the game I was playing when my Xbox 360 decided to red ring. The release date for all you fans is February 26th for Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN. Happy wall running!
