Ever since I played the Halo Wars demo, see our impressions, I have loved what Ensemble Studios has been doing with the Halo license. I think this is why we were all so surprised when Microsoft Game Studios decided to close the creators of the great Age of Empires series. We have been waiting to find out how many people would be hired by MGS or whether or not any DLC would be created by another studio.
Now we have that news. Robot Entertainment has been formed by the the remains of that studio. They will be focusing on creating DLC for Halo Wars, which is a guaranteed hit, and then working on a new IP.
Can’t wait to play Halo Wars and the following DLC. Keep up the good work and it is good to hear that some folks are keeping their jobs in the industry.
