It seems that the Nintendopoly that Nintendo has created in Japan has come back into the limelight. According to the controversial sales reporting site, VGChartz.com, the Nintendo DSi has sold over 2 million units. The new system will be released this spring in the USA, but has already done very well in the hyper-competitive Japanese market. Now with the news from other sites that GBA and Gameboy games will be downloadable via the DSi store, this new console or “resdesign” has proven itself in the Japanese market. I think my original launch DS needs an upgrade, and I will probably spend the 180 bones for the DSi because I want the Nintendo Wi-fi connection through my WPA network at home. Also, the new DSiware store will just add to the awesomeness. I have posted the total units for the DSi, the DS Lite and the DS Fat. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.
