James Hetfield tells us that games are the “gateway drug” to music. I am assuming that we all get a high from playing Guitar Hero, but now it seems we have all become junkies. No really, we need to stop this music gaming fad and stick to the Rock Band mentality. Just add more songs and not charge us 60 bucks when a big band signs a deal. Oh well, I can dream, because we will never be done with these games as long as we don’t get killed by a stack of guitars and band kits at our local retailers.
This game is straight up, more Guitar Hero, so if you liked Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock or Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and you like Metallica, doesn’t it sell itself. Come on, you know, you plastic metal heads are going to eat this game up no matter what the hell I say, so go pre-order it and get your second drum petal for super ultimate extreme mode (something I will never see, can’t get past Hard Mode). There is four songs in the demo, they are fun, yet tough. Go download it because you have already made your mind up and get your fix already and please don’t loiter around that seven eleven around the corner begging for change. Please get some help and some methadone.
