The demo for THQ’s latest WWE related game has been released on the Xbox Live Marketplace and on the Playstation Network today. It allows players to participate in the match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III  and complete in-ring objectives to faithfully relive the Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock match at WrestleMania XV.

I’ve played the demo and THQ/Yukes/Jakks never ceases to amaze me with how well they do recreating each wrestler.  With exception to the crowds (which normally don’t look that great anyway), the overall graphics are impressive.  The Stone Cold/Rock storyline even includes video highlights of their feud leading up to their historic championship match. They seem to have gone with a more arcade style control scheme in this version instead of the slightly more complicated Smackdown Vs. Raw series controls, which should make things easier on wrestling fans that want to relive their favorite WrestleMania moments but haven’t played a wrestling game in a while.

WWE Legends of WrestleMania is set to release March 24, 2009 on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Look for a review here soon after.
