The evil folks over at the Evil Avatar forums have posted a very, very, very enticing little story about on of the best games from last generation. They say that Justin Mark’s, writer of the recent Street Fighter film, is penning a big screen adaptation of Shadow of the Colossus. The Playstation 2 game, which is hopefully getting a sequel from Team ICO, but is unlikely, was a critical and sales darling towards the end of last generation. A film, I don’t know, but I guess this game could be the film that breaks the mold of crappy video game movies in recent years. I am not sure how the film would incorporate the lack of dialogue in the game, so I am imagining a film that takes inspiration from the game. The forum members are very skeptical, as they should be, but until we see any hard evidence that the movie gets off the ground, don’t make too many bad judgments.
