Gamasutra is reporting that retailer Target is in works to try a new a campaign to lure gamers into their stores.
This new program being initiated by the Minneapolis, MN company is in the form of a game reservation card. Consumers can purchase the card in Target stores for just $1.
What’s the perk of purchasing the reservation cards for the games? On release day when you go to pick up your game, you will also receive a $5 Target gift card. You must pick up the game within a week of release to redeem the reservation card for it.
The program is planned to start on April 19th in Target retail stores.
