I remember some time last year a gameplay video for a highly unpolished game that still got me going.  It was like the game Fire Warrior only it used Space Marines.

Now it would really crush the soul of everyone involved (including me) if I were to describe to you my long love affair with GamesWorkshop and their GrimDark universe of Warhammer 40,000 so I say simply that I like the game and the story a damn lot.  I boast the fact that I probably know more than enough canon on the story to be more than capable of writing for the Black Library.  The Black Library for those of you who do not know is the publishing company that publishes all of the books based on the 40k universe.  Yes, I have officially admitted one of the more intense pursuits in my life of nerdom.

That being said I am usually happy with most games based on 40k, I am a huge fan of the critically acclaimed Dawn of War franchise, I even enjoyed the PS2 shooter Fire Warrior.  So it was with great joy that I learned of a game that took place around a character of the Adeptus Astartes, or Space Marines as most know them by.  These super human monstrosities are able to reek an unholy amount of carnage, and for the record they invited the idea of power armour in the yester year of the 80’s when 40k started out.

There was a short gameplay video that saw a Space Marine fighting through men and chaos marines alike with his chainsword, and while I know the fan reaction was neggative in how it did not follow the canon or something like that.  Frankly, I am just always happy of another way to explore the 40k universe.  What I want to know is if anyone has heard anything about this game recently, it is being developed by THQ Australia and I have not heard anything about it since the 10 minute video leak last September.
