The Microsoft Zune has been somewhat of a success. I guess you could say that, but the elephant in the room, the iPod/iPhone have dominated the music player market. Microsoft, which usually comes a close second, has released new details on their follow-up, the Zune HD. As the Gizmodo article states, the HD means that it has HD radio capability along with HD (720p) output. Some great features, but will it be enough to dethrone the iPod Touch or iPhone. Of course it doesn’t because those Apple products have access to one of the most robust and quality download services, the App Store. But, this is a good attempt. I have posted a list of the new features that the Zune HD brings.
- 3.3 inch OLED Touchscreen
- Web Browsing (Multitouch Enabled)
- Redesigned GUI
- Xbox and Zune Marketplace Integration
- 480×272 Resolution and Accelerometer
- Internet Explorer
I have posted a picture of the thing and it look pretty similar to its Apple counterpart. More info will be released soon and hopefully a demo at E3.
