There are some details coming out of E3 about the Bioshock 2 multiplayer. The details that we have come to know have to do with the storyline and features of both the single play and multiplayer. If you do not want any spoilers about the game then please do not look below. For those who do not know, Bioshock 2 is being developed by 2K Marin, not 2K Boston who created the first game. This was a strange move because the first title was so well received by the gaming media and consumers throughout the world. The fact is that 2K Boston made the game to be its own storyline without any sequels. The story was very, very finished at the end of Bioshock, but it looks like they are going to be continuing the events of the first.
The storyline takes place 10 years after the events of Bioshock and you now play as the first Big Daddy. You “search for answers” and try to survive. Wow, such PR speak, but who knows. As for the multiplayer, it is a prequel to the original title, which again, is supremely confusing. You will be playing as splicers as you fight for control of Rapture. Also, the multiplayer will be developed by Digital Extremes, the makers of Dark Sector. They know them some Unreal Engine 3, which the new game will be based upon.
