All you emo-music fans out there or lovers of punk rock; you have finally gotten your wish. Green Day, a band loved and hated, sellers of 50 million records, will now bring their music prowess to gaming’s most popular platform, Rock Band 2. They will be releasing a 3 pack of songs from their latest album 21st Century Breakdown. The three songs, 21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, East Jesus Nowhere will be released on July 7th. I am assuming that they will be the normal price, but it is lacking in the press release. This may not be the end of Green Day and Harmonix because of one little sentence from this presser.
Additional Green Day songs and projects will be announced at a later date.
Is this the rumored Green Day: Rock Band, who knows, but we can expect more DLC from the music juggernauts. Now you can scream like a crazy dude into your mic. Just kidding, I own the album and these songs are quite good. I will infer that the lack of their most famous songs shows that a Green Day: Rock Band is coming down the road. Look for more news coming soon.
