Over the weekend, Lucasarts “tweeted” that something big might be up their sleeve. The three Twitter posts looked something like this:

1. “Amazing news coming Monday! Super excited! You have no idea how tough it is not to start yelling about it! But it’s secret! Until Monday!”
2. “I don’t want to tease, it is just tough not to say anything! I might be tempted, however. Have to think about it over the weekend. 
”
3. “Okay, we will do hints. It is awesome news for our old school fans. (anything more direct might get me in trouble)”
Obviously, Lucasarts has managed to tease us better than a three-mouthed stripper, but Monday has now come and gone and so has their announcement. Brace yourselves, because this indeed is exciting news: Ten of Lucasarts’ classic games are going to be made available on Steam this Wednesday! The list is as follows:

Of course, the re-release of classic titles is always cause for celebration. Personally, I would have liked to see a few of their classic classic Star Wars games come in for a another run (can we say TIE Fighter and Rebel Assault?). God knows where my joystick is these days, but who cares? They run cheap. In any case, Lucasarts President Darrell Rodriguez has suggested that more will be coming, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.
