On kombo.com‘s podcast, Garth Chouteau, Senior Director of Public Relations at PopCap Games revealed that they were bringing Plants Vs. Zombies to consoles and the iPhone. Currently only available on PC and Mac, the quirky desktop tower defense type game has sold well quickly enough to be their next title to buy multiple times on different platforms (I own Peggle on 4). It seems the only people that were confirmed to be ineligible to get the game would be normal mobile phone users:

“I don’t think you’ll see Plants vs. Zombies on a mobile phone,” Garth said, “I think you may see it on the iPhone…some of our games, we would just say, ‘you know? We could probably sell a million of these, but people aren’t going to be happy with it.”

I can already feel my legs getting numb at the thought of having Plants vs. Zombies readily available for me to play on the toilet.
