Registration for the Street Fighter 4 tourney has been underway for a little while now but more spots are still open! The registration ends August 5th and the tournament will begin shortly after that. In case there are any new viewers out there here is a quick summary of the tournament rules and how you register.
This is the first of what will be a series of Amped Tourneys, basically tournaments to decided which Amped Gaming users are the best gamers on the site. This first one is being conducted over Xbox live for Street Fighter 4 (sorry PS3 users, rest assured you will not be left out for long). This tournament does indeed have a prize of a code redeemable for 1600 Microsoft Points for the winner of this tournament.
Now for the Tournament rules:
This tournament will be conducted in standard ladder style competition, with the winner moving on through various rounds. The matches themselves will consist of a single 3 round match, however, players are allowed to conduct as many practice rounds as they deem appropriate. Each participant must consistently use the same chosen character throughout the entire tournament, if I am notified of any deviation in character usage it will be followed by immediate disqualification.
In order to register, you must leave a comment with your gamertag and the character you will be using for the duration of the tournament on any article that is detailing the tournament, preferably this one or the original article. I encourage all of you to register if you think yourself the next world warrior. Amped Gaming staff are not allowed to participate in this tournament since a prize is offered, however, I encourage any of you to challenge any of us to a game at any time.
