During E3 2008 (yes, 2008), Microsoft briefly mentioned a South Park title coming out for XBLA. Any inquiries about details for this title were met with silence…until today! We finally have a smidgen of information about the long awaited XBLA game, which is entitled: South Park Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! and it releases on October 7th 2009 (to coincide with the next batch of new episodes on Comedy Central).

Want more? Well, there is no more…for now. Apparently all will be revealed this weekend at Comic Con in a panel entitled “Save South Park One Snowball At A Time” which could theoretically also be some kind of crazy “save our show” marketing campaign that would probably make for a very wet and angry U.S. Postal Service.

Either way – if the game is a tower defense game (as its title so succintly implies) done simply, a la something like Plants Vs. Zombies, but with Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s humor behind it – sign me up! We’ll update this post after the Comic Con panel with more details…
