NOOOOOOOOO! In my opinion, the only people who should be making a Warcraft movie is Blizzard, and it should be animated. But apparently Hollywood doesn’t think so. Legendary Pictures announced today that Sam Raimi (Spider -Man trilogy, The Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell) has signed on to direct a live action version of Warcraft, along with Charles Roven (producer of The Dark Knight).
“Sam’s passion for ‘Warcraft’ is undeniable and we know that he will create an incredible film worthy of Blizzard’s phenomenal franchise.” I don’t believe it. Sam Raimi prove me wrong!
If this is Blizzard’s way of hoping to bring in new players for a game that most of us are bored with by now, then that’s mighty sad.

It’s a shame that it wasn’t all 3D like the cinematic openings but I understand the fear (you can thank Squaresoft and FF: The Spirits Within” for that).
I don’t know if I agree with “for a game that most of us are bored with by now”. I’m certainly bored of it and I think a lot of my friends are bored too, but that game still have 10 million subscribers. Somebody has to be playing, right?

Bah. 10 million. If they’re losing the interest of people like us, dedicated players who were there from the start, then they’ll be losing more soon. The voice of Doom has spoken!
I’m just cranky cuz I need a new mmo.
