Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today that a Blu-Ray disc containing both God of War and God of War II will be coming to Playstation 3 this holiday season. Not only are these two great games being made available to PlayStation 3 owners who did not get their system in time to have PS2 backwards compatibility, they will also be upscaled to 720P and have trophy support.
“We are excited today to announce God of War Collection,” said Scott Rohde, vice president, Worldwide Studios America. “Our fans spoke and we listened; thanks to our partnership with Bluepoint Games, fans and newcomers to the series can experience the epic God of War and God of War II saga in stunning 720p on PS3. This Blu-ray Disc compilation brings Kratos to PS3 even earlier than expected.”
The collection will cost $39.99, a great deal for those who still need to catch up before God of War 3 hits in March 2010.
