So without further ado here is a short bio and description of the Tournament by the Champion himself”
I’m a gamer from the east coast who’s been playing Street Fighter ever since the SNES version of Street Fighter 2 came out. So great was my anticipation to play SF4 that I took a long road trip to the Chinatown Fair arcade just to put my name on a waiting list to play their SF4 machine.
Ever since it came out for Xbox 360, I’ve entered several online tournaments. The most recent one is the Amped Gaming SF4 tournament.
My first opponent was AR Rune Kai who played a tough Cammy who punished every stray Blanka ball effectively. The second opponent was Nocturnal TBDM who had a formidable Balrog who also was able to punish any stray moves of mine. My semifinals opponent was Cigloman, who hails all the way from Australia. He was gracious enough to find a mutually acceptable time to play. This was indeed a difficult match as Cigloman played a well executed Balrog. In the finals, my opponent was Doctor Rouse. His Sakura was a combo beast! Several times he easily took off nearly 35% of my life with an awesome EX combo. The last match was an intense and very close one.
All in all, I would like to thank all my opponents, Ichi, Stan Spaeth, and the rest of the AmpedGaming.com staff for running an enjoyable, respectful, and challenging online Street Fighter 4 tournament. Here’s to having more in the future!
