Every once in a while, you get that game that peaks your curiosity and somehow becomes one you must simply play to see what the fuss is about. While some of those end up being ones that were all hype and could have been so much better, there are those that genuinely innovate and become more than games. They become experiences that cannot be missed. Heavy Rain, as a game, leans towards the latter. ... more.
  • Gabe Newell does what Bobby Kotick won’t (just yet) 0 CommentsPosted by Mr Rusher on August 14, 2009 under News, PS3
Whether this is just more PS3 hating from the head of Valve or actual dismissal of Sony's struggling format, this story and quote got my attention. [Geoff] Keighley: Are you guys working on PlayStation 3 here now, trying to understand it, trying to get better at it? Gabe: Uh, no. Not in any real way. Does this mean that Valve's dumping the console altogether? It wouldn't altogether be a serio... more.

Source is from CNN's SciTechBlog. It is kind of puzzling why Homeland Security would be involved in this, but then it has been repeatedly stated that piracy funds terrorism. Although I have to question this particular case when it comes to filling up Bin Laden's coffers, I do not condone anyone modding consoles to circumvent DRM and Copyright protection. Homeland Security officers arrested Cal... more.

Some of you may remember that this title was one of my top five games to look forward to. For the delay in this review I apologise, but I wanted to give it an extensive going over before I made a review, particularly in light of the mixed reviews it has recieved. [Prototype] is a title that has been in the making for a while, almost on the verge of being Vaporware until the Gaming Gods shined d... more.

In a move that could lose Sony a lot of games, and possibly destroy any chance of ever catching up to the Xbox 360 in the current generation console war, Activision's Bobby Kotick made this statement, as quoted from the UK's Times online. Bobby Kotick and a partner bought the once-struggling Activision for $440,000 in 1991, at a time when it was losing $30 million on $10 million in revenues. Now ... more.
