AmpedGaming Podcast Episode 7

After a few hiccups with getting the podcast up on our servers, episode 7 is finally here. Unfortunately, Matt could not join us this time thanks to some audio issues with Skype, but we manage to put out a decent episode with just the two of us running on 3-4 hours of sleep. Arsen and I talk about what we’ve been playing, which includes a bit of God of War III, the Splinter Cell: Conviction demo, Final Fantasy XIII, and Heavy Rain. We do end up spoiling Heavy Rain shortly after the 11 minute mark, so if you’re at all interested in finding out what happens for yourself, skip ahead about 15 minutes. The Playstation Move and some iffiness on how well either new motion control system (Natal included) will be received by people like us is discussed as well.

As was mentioned here, we’ll be at PAX East this weekend and will more than likely be doing a podcast with Matt and I being in the same room, hopefully getting Arsen in via Skype and possibly bringing on a couple of guests. So stay tuned for that and a slew of articles going up over the next few days.

AmpedGaming Podcast Episode 5

This weeks episode is the next to last time we’ll be talking about Mass Effect 2 (aside from future DLC of course). Arsen couldn’t make it this time so we’ll give him a chance to talk about his ME2 experience in a couple weeks.

Matt and I spoil the last half of this epic game and finish things off with a short discussion on some of the other things I’ve been playing recently.

AmpedGaming Podcast 02/07/2010

In this episode of the AmpedGaming Podcast, we discuss the game that’s currently taking up all of our free time, Mass Effect 2. There’s definitely some spoilers inside about the first 15-20 hours or so that we’ve played, so beware. After Matt has to run, Arsen and I talk about random news bits and if we’re going to be getting an iPad or not. We’re shooting for the next podcast to be recorded next Sunday, with it being part two of the Mass Effect sploogefest.

Also, I keep forgetting to mention this in the podcast itself, but we now have an email address, podcast “at” ampedgaming.com. Feel free to send us any questions, suggestions, comments or to just tell us that we suck. Any of those are fine and will let us know that someone other than my mother is listening to this.

In this slightly late posting of the AmpedGaming Podcast, we discuss the many games we played over the holidays, our most anticipated games of the first half of 2010 and spend quite a bit of time over the hour talking about Mass Effect 2. Hopefully by the time we record Episode 4, our game boners for the title will be satiated and we’ll be able to talk about something else. Actually, I highly doubt that will happen.

It should be up on iTunes soon as well.

AmpedGaming Podcast: The Next Generation

Alright, after a seven month hiatus, we’re back with the next episode of the AmpedGaming podcast. Since it seems like iTunes has taken down our previous two episodes, we’ll go ahead and call this Episode 1. I’ve taken over the reigns as host alongside Matthew Shafeek and this week we discuss the large amount of games we’ve been playing (both old and new), a few news items and Matt’s appearance on Robert Ashley’s podcast “A Life Well Wasted”. We should hopefully be able to do this on a weekly basis, depending on our schedules. Leave any comments or suggestions you guys have and once I figure out how to get this on iTunes, feel free to do so there as well.

A Call For Suggestions: Amped Tourney Addition

So the last Tournament was a resounding success! Our Champion rose above the rest to claim his prize in Street Fighter 4 and now that the smoke has cleared the staff here at Amped is thinking about the next tournament already. However, a game cannot be decided upon. Should we do Street Fighter 4 again, should we do a tournament for the PS3 this time? Should we do a Halo 3 Tournament since the Multiplayer for that game has recently been revitalized with the release of ODST?

Well the logical explanation here is to ask those of you who would be participating in this tournament. What game do you want? What system? What rules? I encourage you to leave as many comments as you feel necessary, if you see an idea leave a comment on how you support it. We can’t commit to something that won’t follow through because of lack of players so please be involved here! This tournament will most likely be decided by you guys if there is enough conversation on this post so get to it!
