  • Skyburger (app) review 0 CommentsPosted by sweatyapple on January 6, 2010 under Featured Content, Mobile Reviews
If your game has graphics involving bacon, cupcakes, french fries or almost any type of food, I'm most likely going to buy it. I saw Sky Burger, by Nimblebit on the app store and decided to download it. Super simple concept. Stack the burger with the required ingredients to win. There's meat, cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes and the top bun. Money is deducted from your tip if you add inc... more.
  • Super KO Boxing 2 0 CommentsPosted by Jim Chaliz on November 8, 2009 under Mobile Reviews
Does anyone remember the days of being really frustrated by Mike Tyson's Punch Out. Yet you couldn't pull yourself away because of sheer irritation and the desperate need to knock him out. Well those days are back again, but in a totally different game. The developers at GLU have brought us Super KO Boxing 2 for the iPhone. Where you're placed in the gloves of the K.O Kid against a variety of rid... more.

Mini Monster Media's puzzle word game is a nice twist for people who enjoy the likes of Boggle and Bookworm.  You're able to choose from a 4x4 or a 5x5 board and play either Quick or Career mode (30 levels). You create words by dragging over the letters and letting go to submit the word. Dragging diagonally works as well, which I didn't realize for the first few games and made word creation a who... more.
  • Resident Evil 4 for iPhone: Stick to Your GC or Wii Version 0 CommentsPosted by Arsen Nazaryan on September 12, 2009 under Featured Content, Mobile Reviews, iPhone/Mobile
Who didn’t love Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube? Or for those of us who own a Wii, with expanded controls and a nice port for the Wii? Well, all truth be told, there’s good news for iPhone and iPod touch owners as well: Resident Evil 4 has made its way to the app store. Now, let’s clear the record on the idea that this is a direct port: even if the 3GS is essentially a mini-laptop in terms o... more.
  • Doom: Resurrection impresses greatly 0 CommentsPosted by Arsen Nazaryan on August 26, 2009 under Mobile Reviews
The key to making a successful game on the iPhone is innovation, wholly because the iPhone was built on innovation. That being said, the platform is perfect for independent video game companies to explore. Numerous archives of games have already been released, with even some very recognizable titles such as Metal Gear Solid Touch, Wolverine RPG, Resident Evil, and more notably Doom: Resurrection. ... more.
  • Must.Eat.Birds. review 2 CommentsPosted by sweatyapple on July 21, 2009 under Mobile Reviews
Nom nom nom. Cake! You are a nom monster and you must protect your cake from pesky birds who come parachuting down to feast on your sweet treats! You launch yourself from a sling shot and devour the birds out of the sky. Eat yourself and get nice and big and round, all the better to eat with. Nine misson stages, 4 challenge stages and indivdual achievements. I was intrigued by the title and was... more.
  • Little Runner Review 0 CommentsPosted by sweatyapple on July 9, 2009 under Mobile Reviews
This super simple game has quickly become one of my favorite apps. You have one goal, and that's to make sure Little Runner makes it across the screen. Obstacles include uneven ground, rocks which must be smashed and fire which you need to put out, all with the flick of your finger. Simple game, simple graphics. Loading screens are a little bit longer than I'd like, but for $0.99 you can't lose.... more.
  • Mass Effect Galaxy Review 0 CommentsPosted by Ghathaway on June 24, 2009 under Mobile Reviews
Mass Effect Galaxy, from EA Mobile, seems totally unfit for the iPhone/iPod Touch controls, but it surprises with its quality and fun gameplay. The game itself is a secondary story, which follows Jacob Taylor, a resent retiree from the Alliance Military, and Miranda, a mysterious female who’s story is not well known. The kicker is that both characters play an integral part of the upcoming AAA ... more.

Popcap’s Peggle games have captured the hearts and minds of millions over several platforms since its original release. From the original to the DS version, the gameplay has not changed dramatically, but the fun and greatness has continued to grow. With the recent release of the iPhone and iPod Touch versions, millions of Apple users can experience the awesomeness of Peggle for their own pleas... more.
  • Wordfu Review 1 CommentsPosted by Ghathaway on March 8, 2009 under Mobile Reviews
Seeing as I travel more than 50 percent of the time, console gaming has become a luxury. Now, the majority of my gaming is done on portable platforms. This does include games from the Apps Store and I have spent an ungodly amount of cash lately on them. Not because they are simplistic or short, but because I love a plethora of games. One of the games I recently downloaded was Wordfu, developed... more.
