It has been released by many outlets that Electronic Arts will be delaying many of its key titles of 2009. Included in the bunch is Dragon Age: Origins, Godfather II and the Sims 3. Amazon Launches Game Download Service

This morning, Amazon.com has launched a digital distribution section of it's video games "department". It offers over 600 games priced at $9.99, and seemingly all of them are casual games. Amazon customers are able to download and try out every game for 30 minutes at a time before needing to purchase them. Sega of America Staff Cuts Confirmed

Edge has received an email from Sega of America confirming the relase of around 30 of its employees, after rumors on the subject have been circulating the Internet. They follow EA and other publishers in their layoffs, citing the current economic climate as the reason. This week it seems there is only one major offering and it is Lord of the Rings: Conquest developed by Pandemic Studios. Electronic Arts, the publishers of Spore, created by Will Wright and Maxis, today has confirmed that an expansion pack for the popular PC "Universe Simulator" will be released sometime in spring 2009.
