  • Bakugan Video Game Review 1 CommentsPosted by Alan on November 9, 2009 under Wii Reviews
The month of October marked the release of possibly the biggest fad video game of the year: Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Featuring game dynamics just like the card/marble game, and tons of new Bakugan monsters and battle strategies, this is going to be an awesome game for fans of the Bakugan toys and the cartoon to eat up. It has been released on the Wii, DS, Sony PS3, PS2, and the XBox 360. The ga... more.
  • Epic Mickey Details Spilled 0 CommentsPosted by Matt Shafeek on October 7, 2009 under Wii News
Eurogamer recently got the scoop on the new Epic Mickey Wii game from Warren Spector. It looks like the game has sort of a Toy Story feel to it, with a darker edge.  The story focuses on Mickey's struggle against some 'forgotten' Disney stars that have been abandoned over time, and as a result have become bitter after being cast into a dark void (honestly though, who wouldn't become bitter?). T... more.
  • A Call For Suggestions: Amped Tourney Addition 6 CommentsPosted by Ichi on September 30, 2009 under DS, PC Games, PS2, PS3, PSP, Tournaments, Wii, Xbox 360
So the last Tournament was a resounding success!  Our Champion rose above the rest to claim his prize in Street Fighter 4 and now that the smoke has cleared the staff here at Amped is thinking about the next tournament already.  However, a game cannot be decided upon.  Should we do Street Fighter 4 again, should we do a tournament for the PS3 this time?  Should we do a Halo 3 Tournament since ... more.

  • Wii Price Drop Rumor Confirmation? 0 CommentsPosted by Matt Shafeek on September 23, 2009 under Wii News
Joystiq just got a tip from a Best Buy employee essentially confirming (assuming the whole thing isn't a fabrication) the recently rumored Wii price drop of $50. The memo - seen above - basically asks employees to keep their mouths shut about the price drop which won't be official until this Sunday. In a cruel twist of fate (or most accurately, in an obvious, logical series of events) the informat... more.
  • Rumor: Wii Price Drop Coming First Week In October? 1 CommentsPosted by Matt Shafeek on September 14, 2009 under Wii News
The writers over at Kotaku recently posted a juicy morsel that could potentially heat up the console war: according to some "advance retail listings," apparently Nintendo is readying a price drop on the Wii during the first week of October, just a few weeks from now. The price drop would make sense, given the season, how long the Wii has been out, the recent drop in competitor's prices, and the... more.
  • Rock Band: The Beatles Review 1 CommentsPosted by Frank Hunter on September 12, 2009 under Featured Content, PS3 Reviews, Wii Reviews, Xbox 360 Reviews
I've got blisters on me fingers! After a night-long adventure on tour around the world, I'm back and ready to report on this rock and roll experience. Rock Band: The Beatles is similar to recent Guitar Hero titles that feature Aerosmith, Metallica, and (soon) Van Halen. However, unlike Activision's titles, this swingin' 60s spinoff features only the main event. You will spend the entire game a... more.
  • Rockband, coming to a bar near you! 0 CommentsPosted by sweatyapple on September 1, 2009 under Wii News, Xbox 360 News
Karaoke's never been my thing, but going out for a night of Rockband would definitely make me reconsider. U.S. bar owners are now being offered the opportunity to host their very own Rock Band Nights. Through an exclusive e-commerce store, the program will provide the venue with the full catalogue of songs, plus more, like sneak  previews of  5  of The Beatles: Rock Band tracks. Hooray, more dr... more.
